Hello, Parents!

My name is April Clemons, and I am the owner of Little Stars Learning Center in The Colony, TX. My love for children and my passion for education are the driving force behind this endeavor. I have over ten years of experience in working with children including eight years in daycares while earning my bachelor's degree in Child and Family Development.

I also taught pre- kindergarten while earning my master's degree. Following the completion of my master's degree in Community Counseling, I have been working as a children's therapist with social service agencies. As a children's therapist, I know how important it is to let children be children.

As a mom, I know how important it is for children to be in a nurturing and safe environment. My goal in opening this home daycare is to be able to care for and nurture children while also helping them learn essential skills along the way. Goals of the Little Stars Learning Center:

• Learning based on developmentally appropriate activities accommodating each child's individual needs and skill level
  
• Cognitive Skills including science, math, language, art, music, and computer literacy
  
• Physical activities which help with large and fine motor skill development
  
• Social/Emotional skills such as character formation, peer relationships, and emotional health

with easy access to Frisco, Little Elm, Carrollton, and Lewisville.
